Frankly, I think this whole greenhouse gas movement has gone too far. My father says he heard that plastic hoses are bad for the environment. So he gets my mother to use a wooden bucket that she fills with water to water the lawn. Every Wednesday on Watering day she spends the entire afternoon watering the lawn. - Frank |
Since plastic grocery bags are being banned in many cities there is the need for alternate solutions. In our effort to prevent further greenhouse gas emissions from plastic bags in landfills, our company has developed a new solution called the grocery coat. It has very large pockets inside and out into which you can stuff your groceries. The meat can go into the left panel while the vegetables can go in the right. Some people have called me a walking refrigerator but there will always be sceptics. - Refrigerator Man
I am quite concerned about the inefficient bulbs that are rampant in flashlights. I think manufacturers should start to produce little fluorescent bulbs for flashlights too. Why is it that the flashlight industry is always the last to see innovation? I know it is just a small thing but it may be just enough to prevent the tipping of the scale towards the apocalypse of global warming disaster. - Bright Idea
Each day billions of milk cartons that are coated with petroleum derived wax are thrown into the trash. These containers cannot be recycled nor do they decompose. With the price of gas rising as a result of global warming, gas stations will soon be a thing of the past. So my recommendation is to replace all the gas pumps at gas stations with new stainless steel milk pumps. This would once and for all solve this problem. - No more Gas
I was shocked to hear accusations that the female population in western countries are murdering the environment without realizing it. Each year millions of gallons of petroleum products go into the production of lipstick and other facial products. Since Angelina Jolie likes to be at the forefront of making a difference to the planet, she should lead the bandwagon to ban all facial products. What is more important: Hollywood vanity or the environment? - Ban Lipstick Now
I read a previous poster’s idea regarding the coating of plastic bags with melted candle wax to prevent say milk from leaking out of the bag. I think it should be pointed out that burning candles is also a hazard for the environment because of the release of CO2. I would recommend using the microwave or the oven to melt the candles. Make sure you wear safety gloves when you do this. - Susan Fisher
