The American war on Global Warming has been going on for more than a decade now with no good results. In fact the problem is worse than ever before. The longer the war lasts the worse the situation gets. So I think we need to cut back and put a stop to this war. It really is a no-win situation. We have spent billions so far that can be better spent elsewhere. I forget, was I talking about Global Warming or Iraq or Afghanistan or what? - Senator Brown
Our company is selling little coal magnets which attract the excessive coal particles in the air. If the magnets fail to attract any coal particles then it shows that the air is clean. So they are useful in that way too. These magnets have a picture of a lump of coal on them to remind people what they were for. Otherwise their children might play with them and that’s very dangerous because of the coal dust they could swallow. - J. Taylor - CEO - Green Solutions Inc.
I think if coal factories are run at night time when the oceans suck up vast amounts of Carbon and Co2 then that would be better than running them in the daytime when there are only trees to suck up the Carbon and Co2. In this way we are taking advantage of nature’s natural cycles and we don’t need to curb coal production. - Susan Fisher - Nanaimo
I am doing a science project for grade 5. My dad thought that X-rays could be the answer to cleaning up the environment but it is hard for a kid to make X-rays. So I told him he's not too smart. But I think maybe microwaves could work. So for my science project I have put hundreds of things in my microwave over to see what happens. I think someday something weird will happen and then I will have an answer for how to clean up the environment using microwaves. My teacher said that lots of science was discovered in this way. -Tommy - grade 5
On the weekend our science class went to a historical museum and saw all kinds of old machines where you pour some stuff in the top, turn the handle and then something comes out the bottom. The museum guide said that nobody knew what these machines were for anymore. But that got me thinking that maybe someone can adapt one of these machines to cleaning up the environment. You just turn the handle and greenhouse gas would get sucked in and then some useful products like plastic or cow feed would come out. - Clairmont Elementary
