Wow, I just heard about the Australian government mandating fluorescent bulbs. It's a good thing they banned guns first. I would hate to see them shooting in the dark. See what can happen if we let them take away our guns. They could force us to do anything. I wonder which bulbs cause more pollution during manufacture. Not too bright mate. - Crocodile Dundee
The easiest solution is to start advertising hybrids so people will start driving them...personally it iz vitually impossible to undo hundreds of years of damage but the vacum idea iz pretty good and we should have a month in a year where everyone rides a bike and no fossil fuels are burned that month...a day in a year wont save us so why not a month..sea levels are rising we need to do something. - Diana Kravetskiy |

When a variant of the dog owner law goes into effect that house and car owners will be responsible for cleanup of their own Co2 emissions, the market will be flooded with gimmicky clean-up gadgets that just don’t work. I would particularly advise against buying the new backyard $99 Chinese produced gas powered environmental cleaner that purports to clean 12 cubic meters of air a minute. These are nothing more than re-packaged vacuum cleaners. - Buyer Beware
According to the January 11, 2006 edition of the csmonitor website, Isaac Berzin has come up with a method that uses algae to literally eat the CO2 right out of smoke stacks. Although ingenious, I think his solution doesn’t go far enough. I propose that we literally fill the streets of every city in the world with this green slime and then develop special vehicles to navigate thought this stuff so that is has minimal impact upon daily life. - Mr. Algae
Well I don’t know much about science except maybe about the mercury I used to play with. But it seems to me that if all the fish in a lake were contaminated with mercury then couldn’t the fisherman catch them with magnets or something. After that just fry the mercury out of the fish. It evaporates into the air doesn’t it? At least it’s not made out of CO2. - Science Flunky
