How would you solve the greenhouse gas problem?

I read that light bulbs are a major cause of global warming and greenhouse gas. Unfortunately we don’t have enough money to replace all of our bulbs with fluorescent lighting. But my mother said that we can counteract the effects of hot incandescent light bulbs by leaving the fridge door slightly open in the evenings when we turn on the lights. I just wanted to pass on her tip. - Sally aka Miss Economy
We don't need another Royal Commission to look at global warming. We already have laws in Canada that prevent pollution of all kinds, including that created by cars. It is now up to the RCMP to just enforce those laws. I can understand their hesitance to arrest most drivers for polluting the environment but maybe they can start small by throwing most of the truck drivers in jail because they clearly pollute the most. - Concerned Citizen
In science class we were having a big debate whether it is better to have a thick blanket at night or just a light blanket. The thick blanket traps more of your body heat but when you wake up in the morning all the heat escapes with a big whoosh causing a spike in the atmosphere. But a light blanket lets the heat slowly escape during the whole night. It’s a real conundrum because heat probably also contains some CO2? - Tim Taylor - grade 7

As a string theory physicist, I have finally come to understand this subject deeply in a deep sort of way. My remarkable discovery is that everything in this world is not made up of strings but has strings attached. If you change one thing then it affects everything else because everything is connected with strings. So even eating a chocolate bar can have a positive or negative effect on the CO2 content of the environment. I believe this insight will be the key to solving the global warming problem. - Dr. Entanglement

As minister to the environment, I frequently fly to China to promote my anti-coal mine solutions to global warming. I must admit that my monthly flights add to the problem. In fact one flight between Vancouver and Beijing generates upwards of 4,100 lbs of Co2. This is more than can fit into one suitcase. However as a responsible government official, I buy carbon credits which goes on to fund special diapers for Canadian farm cows to control the release of methane gas. I would urge all travelers to do the same by getting a TerraPass. - Honorable Joan Taylor
