How would you solve the greenhouse gas problem?

I would like to comment on a Western journalist article chastising the people of Northern Rangoon for wearing excessive clothes and thus damaging the environment. I would like to point out that we at least wear the same dark clothes all of our lives which is better than to have the hundreds of skimpy colorful outfits that the Western woman wears. The production of the latter and the weekly cleaning of these clothes is far more damaging to the environment. - Ragona Jelova
I am a grade five student working on this year's science fair project. I know that rainforests consume a lot of CO2 and output oxygen. The only problem is that CO2 is made with oxygen. So, I think reducing the world's oxgygen levels to a minimal amount may help because with no oxygen, you can't make CO2. So I propose that the rain forests should be burned down. I know this will create smoke but the smoke will eventually blow away. - Science Whizz
Now that the Australians have decided that only Fluorescent light bulbs are allowed, they will have a couple of minor problems. These bulbs contain mercury and phosphor powder, both of which are extremely poisonous. The bulbs don't do well with power fluctuations so people working in any factory area where sudden loss of light happens may be killed. And kids who get hold of broken bulbs may be killed. And when the old bulbs are thrown in landfills, humans and other creatures may be killed. But hey, the fluorescent bulb manufacturers are going to make a killing! So I suggest using only fluorescent bulbs all over the world. - Phillip Bulbus Maximus
I would like to say that you Western Imperialist [expletive deleted] don’t know anything about cleaning. So how can you clean the atmosphere or anything else? Look at the mess you made in the world. Look at space with all that flying space trash so that the idle rich can watch their soap operas and the imperialist countries can watch the developing world. And now you want to bring your mess to other planets as well. What is the Universe, a huge garbage dump for you? - Jook Moon Jung
Seems to me that the new government light bulb initiative is one of the best solutions for global warming that I have heard. With the announcement of the mandatory use of fluorescent light bulbs my Mercury stocks have taken off. In recent years, negative press regarding the amount of Mercury in tuna had caused Mercury stocks to decline. -Jimmy T. Investment Broker
