I live on a farm. We don’t have a radio, TV or any electric appliances. We hand wash all of our clothes and dry them in the sun. We no longer drive to the city as we are self sufficient. We get milk from the cows, corn from the fields and protein from eggs. I think our effort to reduce atmospheric pollution is the same as someone else’s effort to clean the atmosphere. What’s the difference? Shouldn’t that count for getting some of that prize money? – R. Kyle E. in Oklahoma
When I first heard about the greenhouse gas problems I couldn't stop crying. I was so sad and so scared. I thought we would all die. But then I saw the Al Gore movie and started to feel better almost right away. He is very handsome too. He showed how little things can make a difference. So then I hung my laundry outside and the city gave me a $15 fine for doing that. Jeez I was mad. I could have bought two packs of cigarettes with that. - Lorraine in British Columbia
Since the air has many kinds of viruses then can’t we mutate some of those to eat CO2? Then all we have to do is keep pumping viruses into the atmosphere. I don’t mean those viruses that eat computers but the real viruses that make people sick. Some mutated viruses won’t make people sick. - Wilson Sanders
I come from the planet Zargo where we had the same problem. They got rid of all the Co2 but that killed all the plants. So now they only eat edible oil products. Boy it sure was boring eating plastic. - Erglon-2
First of all, don't let NASA send any more probes. Seems like Mars has global warming now, according to them, so the Lander must have taken global warming from here and infected Mars. First cure the disease here then we can do more NASA stuff. - Irene G.
I live in Canada where it snows for most of the year. We wear thick parkas with fur covered hoods year around. These days it is so hot wearing these but without them, we would not be real Canadians. So that's the dilemma. I think it's getting warmer because the young people no longer do the traditional Canadian snow dance. But I have a solution. Since Seal blubber contains large amounts of Carbon, a way to clean up the environment is to increase the Seal population in Canada. Seals naturally absorb excess carbon. - Danny V. in Saskatchewan
